Key Responsibilities

As a Marketing Assistant, you'll work with clients to execute marketing strategies that drive growth and enhance brand presence.

  • Copywriting & Content Development: Write and edit blog posts, social media content, emails, and sales documents. Develop lead magnets and manage a content calendar.
  • Social Media Management: Implement strategies to grow followers and engagement on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Respond to messages, engage with followers, and monitor brand sentiment.
  • Email Marketing & List Management: Create email templates and workflows in platforms like Mailchimp. Manage segmented lists for personalized messaging.
  • Audio & Video Editing: Edit short videos or audio clips for social media or online courses.
  • Graphic Design: Use design platforms (such as Canva) to create visuals that align with client branding.
  • Tech Administration & CRM Management: Assist with CRM workflows, manage data, and report on client outreach.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate tasks within project management tools to meet deadlines and keep projects on schedule.
  • Vendor Research & Management: Research and maintain relationships with vendors for services like paid media and technology solutions.
  • SEO & Keyword Research: Optimize content for search engines and handle metadata updates.
  • Community & Podcast Management: Moderate online communities, manage podcast guest outreach, and handle editing and publishing.
  • Course & Webinar Coordination: Set up and manage online courses, track engagement, and coordinate webinars.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Social Media Expertise: Proven experience managing platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Content Strategy: Ability to develop and execute social media content plans.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital marketing and design tools such as Canva, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Buffer, and Mailchimp.
  • Remote Work Experience: Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Contractor Requirements

  • Availability: Monday through Friday, business hours.

  • Marketing Tools: Proficiency in multiple digital marketing tools for key areas such as social media, analytics, email marketing, light graphic design, etc.
  • Digital Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of digital marketing and social media best practices and legal guidelines.

  • 1099 Contractor Opportunity This is a 1099 contractor role, not a W2 position. Full-time employment or benefits are not provided. Client engagements typically range from 45 to 130 hours per month, depending on project requirements.
  • Eligibility We are currently accepting applications from residents of all states EXCEPT California, Montana, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Applicants residing in these states will not be considered for contract opportunities at this time.
  • Availability Requirements You must be available during regular business hours, as this is not compatible with another full-time job or evening work hours.
  • Compensation Marketing Assistant contractors are compensated at an hourly rate of $28 - $33, based on experience and skillset. Contractors are paid a fixed rate once per month based on the contracted hours. Note: BELAY does not guarantee a set number of hours or client assignments.
