Head of QA

We are currently seeking an experienced contract software engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Codurance software engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and contribute to the success of our clients' projects.

This is an initial 6-month contract, inside IR35.

Day rate: 600-650 day (inside IR35) We're seeking an exceptional Head of QA to spearhead a rapid transformation from manual-heavy processes to a cutting-edge, developer-embedded, automation-first quality model.

Requirements

• Proven QA Strategy Leadership – Track record of creating and executing comprehensive QA transformation
• Automation-First Transitions – Successfully moved teams from manual to modern, developer-embedded models
• C-Suite Stakeholder Management – Direct reporting experience with CPTO/CTO level executives
• CI/CD Expertise – Design and implementation of automated quality gates and pipeline optimization
• Agile/XP Mastery – Deep knowledge of Extreme Programming practices (TDD, BDD, pairing)

Bonus Points For

• Java/Spring microservices and distributed architecture testing experience
• AI/LLM feature testing (explainability, consistency, audit logging)
• AI-powered tooling expertise (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) for test automation
