As an instructor, you will provide this experience through a welcoming front desk check-in process, guiding students through a CPY-aligned class, and supporting each individual student to live their power. Our instructors cultivate supportive relationships by making themselves accessible and approachable, ensuring student safety, and embodying the CPY Core Values at all times.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIESTeach a minimum of two (2) CorePower Yoga classes per week for a minimum of 4 hours of time in studioServe the community and provide a consistent safe space for all to practice by educating students on alignment, offering modifications for postures as appropriate, and consistently using CPY cueing formulasBe scheduled at the studio 30 minutes before and after each class to read studio communications, plan CPY aligned classes using the CPY Class Planning and support tools, and connect with the student communityConnect with students 30 minutes prior to class and 30 minutes after class to support personal growth, studio growth, and CPY initiativesWelcome students, check them into class, handle POS transactions, perform front desk duties, and ensure a memorable experience for studentsPerform cleaning tasks as assigned to maintain CPY health and safety standardsFoster a supportive and fun studio environment by upholding CPY Core Values and building positive relationshipsAct as an ambassador for CPY initiatives, including memberships, programming, retail, etc.SKILLS & EXPERIENCECompletion of a 200-hour yoga teacher training before June 2020, with additional continuing education hours, or a format-related 200-hour training after June 2020, including Yoga Sculpt or Fitness Training certificationsCurrent CPR/AED certification requiredExcellent communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skillsProficiency in computer applicationsAbility to lead physical activity for up to 1.5 hours, withstand heat up to 104°F for at least 60 mins in heated classesAbility to move around the studio, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.THE PERKSFree All Access Membership for studio and online classesAdditional free membership for a plus one30% off retail, with 50% off during salesAccess to continuing education and sequencing resourcesEmployee Assistance ProgramWHO WE ARECorePower Yoga aims to share the transformative power of yoga with all.
