Y6/5 NUX C - Video Editor

Role Summary:

Our content-rich approach to brand storytelling is essential to our growth, and we’re expanding our marketing team to meet increasing demand for high-impact short-form video across social media platforms. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our marketing team and take ownership of creating compelling short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Meta. This role involves editing raw footage provided by our internal team, adding captions, transitions, and light motion design to create engaging and polished video assets aligned with our brand voice.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Marketing and Social Media Lead and be provided with clear briefs, content libraries, and creative direction.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing:

• Edit short-form social media videos (15–90 seconds) for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Meta.
• Work with provided footage to assemble, enhance, and finalize videos using transitions, captions, effects, and sound syncing.
• Collaborate with the internal team to maintain brand consistency across all video content.
• Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form outputs where needed.
• Prepare simple thumbnails or Canva-based static visuals if needed.

Content Optimization & Workflow:

• Organize and manage a growing video asset library for easy team access.
• Use AI-enhanced tools (e.g., Adobe Sensei, Descript, or Gemini) when appropriate to speed up content turnaround.
• Iterate based on feedback from the marketing team and adapt to performance insights.

Skills

• Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
• Familiarity with social media publishing formats and best practices for TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and YouTube Shorts.
• Captioning, sound editing, basic motion graphics.
• Canva or similar for basic image creation or thumbnail design would be a plus.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, content-heavy environment.
• Familiarity with AI video tools (e.g., Gemini, RunwayML, Pictory) or willingness to learn and integrate them into workflow.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow structured creative direction.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in video editing, ideally for a DTC brand, wellness brand, or fast-growing startup.
• Proven portfolio of short-form social content (please include links or samples).
• Good command of English and comfort working with a U.S.-based team and audience.
• Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly.
• Experience using project management tools like Slack, Asana, or Trello is a plus.
