Senior Lead Information Security Engineer (MTIPS)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Information Security Engineer specializing in MTIPS policy and design, to join the Public Sector Security Architecture and Engineering team.

Requirements

• Proven experience implementing modern security systems using industry-leading technologies in both lab and production environments.
• Skilled in developing architecture certifications, low-level design documents, configuration templates, and implementation guides.
• Hands-on deployment of production systems and training of operations teams.
• Expertise in customer-facing security services including Access control, firewalls/UTM, WAF, web filtering, IDS/IPS, VPN (IPSec/SSL), AV/AS, email/messaging security, DDoS protection, flow analysis, and application monitoring.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Proficient with Cisco security platforms (Firepower, AnyConnect, ASA) and network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
• Familiar with integrated network, data center, virtualization, and cloud architectures.
• U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible for government security clearance.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
• Knowledge of FISMA, DCID, NIST, FedRAMP, CISA, and GSA compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Managed Security Services (e.g., log management, vulnerability scanning, email security, key/cert management).
• Proficiency with data center platforms (edge/core devices, switches, load balancers).
• Background in software development and automation (testing, troubleshooting, provisioning).
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and orchestration tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
