We're looking for a motivated, forward-thinking Manager of Patient Access to oversee our billing and collections operations, drive cross-functional collaboration, and lead a high-performing team in delivering both exceptional patient experiences and strong financial outcomes. About the Role: As the Manager of Patient Access, you will be responsible for overseeing billing, accounts receivable collections, and managing relationships with JV partners, payers, patients, and internal teams. You’ll be a key driver in ensuring revenue cycle efficiency, leveraging data to make strategic decisions, and mentoring a team committed to accuracy, service, and growth. What You’ll Be Doing: Strategic Leadership & Decision-Making

  • Drive performance metrics (DSO, denials, cash collections) using data-driven decision-making
  • Monitor AR daily and weekly to ensure timely and accurate collections
  • Develop and implement programs and vendor strategies to improve cost-to-collect and streamline processes
  • Navigate across clinical and financial systems to maintain integrity of billing data
  • Lead billing and reimbursement issue resolution with payers and internal partners
  • Evaluate and implement tools to optimize clean claim rates and reduce denials
  • Stay current on healthcare billing regulations to support audit readiness and compliance

Coaching, Development & Team Management

  • Set SMART goals and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and foster open, transparent communication
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and recognition
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Maintain and train on SOPs to ensure consistent, compliant revenue cycle practices

Goal-Setting & Performance Monitoring

  • Define and communicate departmental goals aligned with organizational vision
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to track and share team performance
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement short- and long-term revenue goals
  • Support recruiting and HR functions in building a strong, capable RCM team

Communication & Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted resource across departments and executive teams
  • Collaborate with clinical and ops teams to improve POS collections and data integrity
  • Present performance insights, risks, and opportunities in a clear, professional manner
  • Represent Four Winds Health in payer negotiations and joint operating committee meetings

✅ What We’re Looking For: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare preferred (BBA with healthcare/compliance concentration a plus)
  • 5+ years of revenue cycle management experience (back-end billing focus preferred)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Experience in Urgent Care or Occupational Medicine strongly preferred

Required Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of insurance payers, billing lifecycle, and denial management
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with EPIC and other healthcare RCM systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Energetic, flexible, and resilient in fast-paced environments
  • Passion for mentorship, process improvement, and results-driven leadership
