Required Qualifications

• Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
• At least 06 GCE (S/L) subjects must be passed simultaneously with 05 equivalent credits. Out of the 05 equivalent credits, it is mandatory to have obtained equivalent credits in Sinhala/Tamil Language, Mathematics and English Language.

OR

• Must have passed at least 06 subjects in the Edexcel or Cambridge Ordinary Level Examination, and must have obtained C grades in 06 subjects including English and Mathematics. And
• Must have obtained average passes in at least 03 subjects in the GCE (A.L) examination (excluding General English). However, a pass in General English will be considered as an additional qualification. OR
• Must have passed at least 03 E grades in the Edexcel or Cambridge Advanced Level Examination.

Age All applicants must be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 23 years of age as on the closing date for receipt of applications. (Accordingly, the age-related eligibility criteria will be waived only if the applicant’s date of birth is on or before and on or after ) Language Proficiency and Skills

• Good communication skills in Sinhala/Tamil and English
• Ability to perform duties in Sinhala/Tamil and English
• High interpersonal skills
• Ability to withstand pressure in a busy environment and high academic ability
• Ability to work goal-oriented and multi-talented
• Willingness to work outside normal working hours and on weekends

Selection Method

• Applicants recruited under this scheme will be directed for formal and comprehensive training covering all banking functions on a 02-year contract basis.
• Candidates who are shortlisted after an Onsite, Supervised, Online Examination conducted by the Open University of Sri Lanka will be selected through an interview/test conducted by the Bank.
• The selection will be made on a district basis in order of merit and subject to the number of vacancies identified in each district.
• As this is a full-time job, students pursuing a degree course in any university or students selected to pursue any course in any university are not eligible to apply for this. Even if an applicant passes the examination, any application that does not meet the eligibility criteria required by the bank by the last date of receipt of applications or submits false information or any application will be rejected without any notice at any stage of recruitment.

A monthly training allowance will be paid during the training period. Applications
