Platform Engineering Manager

As a Platform Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in enabling all product teams to ship faster, more reliably, and with greater autonomy.

• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Docker, CircleCI

• Languages: TypeScript, Python, Node.js, Shell

• Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, BetterStack

• Leading a platform engineering team of 3-5 senior platform engineers.

• Responsible for building an engineering roadmap for the team, the sequencing of the work, and the delivery.

• Designing and delivering platform tools that improve developer productivity and satisfaction.

• A part of the wider engineering leadership/architecture forum that is tackling higher-level projects in the engineering organisation - addressing tech-debt, stability, observability and developer experience topics.

• Analysing your team's cadence, identifying areas of improvement and making sure the team is working on the most important problems.

• Directly managing the engineers in your team - regular 1:1s, feedback weeks, career progression, helping them grow.

• Collaborating with engineering and company leadership to align priorities, manage expectations, and translate strategy into actionable plans.

• You have led people in the past, you loved the experience and you set them up for success.

• Your leadership is hands-on, transparent, and rooted in a strong desire to support your team.

• You have extensive experience with development of complex systems (ideally SaaS products) and worked before with some technologies in our stack.

• You can identify, call out, and resolve process inefficiencies.

• You always make sure that the proposed work benefits the customer.

• If you are experienced with GCP (next to AWS).

• If you have hands-on experience with data notebooks or BI tools.
