Product Manager - Local Payment Methods

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

At Mollie, we’re on a mission to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. We started 20 years ago when we launched a more direct, affordable way for companies to get paid. That provided an alternative to the frustrating, overpriced solutions that banks offered at the time. Today, we serve over 250,000 businesses across Europe with an all-in-one solution that simplifies payments and money management. We’re an 850-strong team of product, finance, support, commerce, and engineering specialists working across Europe – from Lisbon to London. The Payments domain empowers European businesses to accelerate growth by expanding their market reach through seamless, effortless payment solutions. More concretely our goal is to help businesses collect and manage their customers payments by providing support for a portfolio of 30+ payments methods both online and offline. One of the key payment method families making our portfolio is Cards: the world’s favourite way to pay. As a Product Manager in the Payments domain, you’ll be part of the Local Payment Methods team. You'll own a portfolio of 35+ payment methods, making the complex payments landscape easier for customers to understand. Your focus will be on delivering the best possible experience and simplifying the adoption of new payment products. It’s a role with real impact: your work will directly support our customers’ growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Use your product intuition to identify and address a broad range of challenges in payment methods, taking full ownership of strategy and execution - focusing on delivering customer value, driving business impact, and ensuring seamless implementation.

  • Collaborate closely with product and payment partners to drive strategic and commercial initiatives, ensuring the best possible product experience.

  • Work directly with customers and partners to understand their challenges and needs, translating complex problems into clear, intuitive solutions.

  • Drive efficiency by simplifying operational complexities tied to payment methods, ensuring smooth implementation and ongoing performance.

  • Establish clear KPIs and own the end-to-end performance of the payment methods portfolio, using data-driven insights to refine the mix and maximize impact.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Partnerships and Product Marketing teams to clearly articulate our product portfolio and position Mollie as a leader in the European payment methods landscape.

What you'll bring

  • Strong understanding of the payments landscape and trends

  • Strong stakeholder management skills: peers and senior management

  • Experience defining longer-term strategy and aligning with senior management

  • Ability to gather insights, conduct market research, and perform competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities

  • Experience driving the product roadmap, setting clear objectives, and prioritising feature enhancements

  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication in English and strong organisational skills
