We are currently looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join one of our long term Federal (DoD) projects in New Orleans, LA. Macro Solutions offers flexible FTE, W2 Hourly Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity.
• Supports the design, development, build, analysis, evaluation, installation, and administration of database management systems.
• Assists with the design and implementation of databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
• Supports the preparation of system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.
• Defines database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
• Reviews and validates applications changes for impact on security and integrity.
• Supports application software and performs application installs and upgrades following established procedures.
• Responsible for moving change requests submitted by developers between development, test and production environments.
• Develops and document technical processes and procedures as needed.

Requirements:

• Secret Clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification, other IAT Level II Certification or higher
• Bachelor’s Degree (5 years of additional Navy HR experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• 3+ years of experience in install, configurations, patching, monitoring or maintenance with Oracle RDBMS versions 11c or higher.
• Experience with SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience in providing technical support for applications - troubleshooting and resolving issues related configurations, patching and use of applications
• Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 operations systems
• Experience working in supporting and troubleshooting issues with development team
