LastPass is looking for a Senior Android Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the value of LastPass mobile products while deepening your expertise in password management and security. You will also work with the latest tools and technologies to solve engaging challenges.

If you are an Android developer with a passion for building products used by millions, and you thrive in a positive, fast-paced, and highly collaborative agile environment, then the LastPass Mobile team could be an excellent fit for your career.

About the team

You will join our Android platform team, which is responsible for setting the technical direction of the application by defining best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines. This role focuses on enhancing the engineering experience through refactoring, accelerating local and CI builds, and automating repetitive manual tasks.

For example, the team has automated the release process to save hours of manual effort and reduced merge request turnaround time by introducing linters and static code analyzers – while maintaining high quality. Looking ahead, we plan to implement a more modular architecture and automate the updating of third-party dependencies, among many other exciting challenges.

If you are passionate about complex problem solving and motivated by scale, then this is the role for you!

Who will you work with?

You will collaborate with a group of skilled Android Engineers both within and outside your team. As a platform team, we work closely with feature teams during daily operations and through regular knowledge-sharing and educational sessions. You will have the opportunity to partner with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and security specialists to successfully drive and deliver initiatives.

We value team members who are proactive, enjoy engaging challenges, and are open to constructive technical discussions.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Product Owners, UX Designers, QA, and development team members, to deliver new features to millions of users.
  • Design and implement new features from the ground up.
  • Contribute to improving the application’s architecture and code quality.
  • Support the customer support team by gathering necessary information for user-reported issues.
  • Ensure software defects are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
