About Opensend: Opensend is a 50-person, rapidly-scaling, bootstrapped company with an enterprise B2B SaaS data platform gaining lots of VC interest. We’ve grown 5x over the past year through great ideas, great people and hard work. We have acquired close to a thousand customers - so, to maintain that trajectory, we need an engineering leader who is going to help us quickly.
At Opensend, we turn anonymous website visitors into customers. Our platform reveals actionable identity insights, helping brands unlock first-party data, boost retargeting across channels, and increase customer lifetime value—without relying on form fills or purchases.
We’re looking for a Vice President of Engineering to lead the next phase of our technical growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys scaling systems and teams, and brings a strong understanding of modern marketing tools, integrations, and data pipelines.
What You’ll Do
Own engineering strategy and execution for our web platform, core services, and data infrastructure.
Lead, scale, and mentor an engineering team based in Vietnam.
Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales, and customer success to align tech initiatives with business goals.
Set technical direction and architectural standards for our systems, ensuring they’re scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
Drive integration strategies with third-party platforms like Klaviyo, Shopify, Hubspot, and others.
Ensure engineering excellence, with strong code quality, testing, and continuous deployment practices.
Guide the evolution of our data pipeline and event streaming infrastructure to support new products and increased scale.
What You BringRequired
Proven experience as a senior engineering leader (e.g., Director, VP, CTO) in a B2B SaaS or MarTech company.
Deep understanding of:
Python and its ecosystem (Flask, async tasks, etc.)
AWS architecture (Lambda, Kinesis, Glue, Athena, S3, etc.)
Modern data pipeline architecture and ETL/rELT practices.
Strong product intuition and customer empathy—especially around eCommerce workflows and marketing tools.
Experience working with or building systems for
Web tracking and tag management
Identity resolution and profile enrichment
CRM and marketing automation platforms
Ability to lead both technical and non-technical conversations, especially around trade-offs, timelines, and delivery plans.
Nice to Have:
Hands-on familiarity with React, NodeJS, or other parts of our frontend stack.
Experience integrating with platforms like Klaviyo, Shopify, Attentive, or Segment.
Exposure to compliance and privacy best practices (e.g., CCPA, CanSpam) in tracking and data collection.
