About the Role

Shape the future of AI — with Lua! As an AI Tutor - Lua, you’ll use your scripting and game development expertise to improve AI-generated code and ensure it aligns with Lua’s simplicity, flexibility, and performance goals.

Your Day to Day

• Review Lua code for correctness, readability, and idiomatic use of the language.

• Solve scripting challenges using Lua and explain your process.

• Identify and correct flaws in AI output or unclear control logic.

• Summarize your approach and decision-making clearly and concisely.

About You

• Fluent in English with strong writing and communication skills.

• Expertise in Lua: tables, metatables, coroutines, and embedded scripting integration.

• 3–5 years of experience in Lua development or embedded/game scripting is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing one) in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field. Master’s or PhD preferred.

• Deep interest in AI, lightweight scripting, or game engine integration.

Exact compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills and competencies, experience, and geographical location.

This is a freelance position compensated on an hourly basis. Please note that this is not an internship opportunity.
