What You’ll Do
Own the QA strategy end-to-end: from triaging risk to implementing automation
Design and implement a scalable QA process tailored for small, fast-moving teams
Set the quality bar for what’s required to ship to production safely, even at higher cadence
Automate as much as possible, including integration, E2E, and regression testing across our Django and NextJS stack
Apply AI to QA — whether it's test case generation, diffing, log analysis, or something we haven’t thought of
Collaborate closely with product engineers and prototypers to balance speed and safety
You Might Be a Fit If You…
Have experience standing up QA functions or frameworks in early-stage teams
Understand how to prioritise testing pragmatically, balancing risk vs. velocity
Are fluent in QA tooling and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Pytest, Cypress, etc.)
Are comfortable working across a full-stack environment (backend APIs, front-end UIs, async jobs)
Have hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (we use GitHub Actions)
Are curious about — or experienced with — using AI to accelerate QA (e.g., using LLMs for test generation, snapshot review, or fault detection)
Communicate clearly and collaborate well with engineers and product leads
Nice to Haves
Experience testing AI-based or ML-driven products
Experience working in a startup or similarly fast-moving environment
Familiarity with tools like pytest, factory_boy, or coverage.py in Python
Comfort writing or reviewing testable frontend components in React/NextJS
