Job title: Maintenance Mechanic III- Facilities Company: Spencerport Central School District Job description : The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Mechanic III. Applicants will be reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. *Applicants must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment for the NYS Education Department before employment begins. Civil Service: This is a Civil Service non-competitive class position and the successful candidate must meet all Civil Service requirements for employment by the Spencerport Central School District. Minimum qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus six (6) months of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent work experience in one (1) or more of the electrical, mechanical or construction trades; OR graduation from a technical high school or trade school with a major in the electrical, mechanical or construction trades. Preferred Qualification: Previous experience in maintenance of electrical systems, mechanical repair on automobiles, trucks, tractors and other mechanical and motorized equipment, as well a general facilities maintenance practices and procedures; and New York State CDL license within six months of employment. Appointment: Full-time (8 hours per day), 12 months.
