Rate; $19/hour with incentive options Position Summary: The primary duties of the Overnight Front Desk Agent position is to be the ambassador of the hotel by anticipating the guests’ needs and exceeding the guests’ expectation by supplying a high level of service with every guest interaction at the front desk. Essential Functions of the Job: • Approaches all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, professional, and service-oriented manner. • Maintains a high level of guest satisfaction by doing whatever is within his/her power to ensure each guest is satisfied with his/her stay. If the situation requires greater authority, contacts the supervisor or manager on duty. • Checks in guests properly, using names, using established departmental protocol, unless otherwise instructed by management. • Prepares all shift end reports and performs all closing duties before leaving for the day. • Assists in emergency and security procedures as directed by management and the established emergency plan. • Answers the telephone, takes appropriate messages. • Provides information, maps, and directions as required. • Exhibits extensive knowledge of Hotel Teatro's facilities, amenities, and services. • Handles guest’s requests without transferring guest calls to other areas. • Makes manager aware of any guest's comments or complaints. • Performs any other job-related task as directed by the management. • Facilitates line up of on-coming shift to ensure proper communication of events. • Maintains cleanliness and general maintenance levels within the public area space. Additional Job Duties: • Completes tasks and projects delegated by management; assists other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand. • Completes shift checklists and informs management if there is anything that time does not permit. • Reports to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook and departmental rules. • Reports to shift on time. • Enforces and complies with all policies and procedures for Hotel Teatro. Physical requirements of the position include: · Ability to work occasional long hours. · Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/ or up to 20 pounds to force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. · Ability to work entire shift standing. · Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Education: High school diploma or equivalent Education, Experience, Skills: • High School diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of 2 years related experience. • Knowledge of guest services and night audit functions in a hotel setting preferred. • Good command of English language. • Ability to work with people. • Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations. • Impeccable appearance. Language Ability: English Other: Must have a Colorado Driver’s license or other State license and clean driving record SCHEDULING We are a 24-hour operation and as such schedules are based on the business necessity which include but not limited to weekends, holidays and evenings. This position does require the availability to work overnight shifts.
