We seek dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to provide compassionate care to our residents. Responsibilities of RN: • Care Delivery: Utilize the nursing process to care for designated residents, including administering medications and treatments and documenting appropriately. • Reporting: Report findings of ongoing observations and assessments to designated supervisors. • Clinical Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of basic test and lab collection values and deliver direct resident care consistent with policies, procedures, and the Resident Bill of Rights. • Resident Response: Identify and respond promptly to patient concerns and needs. • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills necessary for quality patient care. • Assignments: Prepare resident assignments considering patient needs and personnel competency, and monitor and evaluate the delivery of patient care provided. Requirements for RN: • Graduate of an approved school of nursing. • Licensed and registered in good standing in New York State as an RN. • Experience with geriatric patients is desirable but not required; new grad RNs are welcome to apply. • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled. • Possess a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and growth. • Knowledge of medical, social, and psychological needs of residents, general nursing theory and practice, and infection prevention principles and methods. • Ability to communicate effectively verbally with residents, families, and staff. • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from the CDC.
