Job Title: Heroic Stories Researcher Summary... We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Heroic Stories Researcher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for discovering and verifying inspiring stories of heroism, resilience, and community impact from around the world. You will play a crucial role in curating content that highlights the extraordinary acts of ordinary people and the positive change they bring to their communities. Responsibilities: Research: - Actively seek out news stories from across the web, including social media content, that showcase acts of courage, kindness, and community support. - Identify stories that align with our content pillars: heroic acts, community stories, and human resilience/triumph. - Locate all related media assets for a given story (videos, photos, articles) - Uncover recent and past stories that align with our ethos - Update news - Thoroughly fact-check and verify the accuracy of the stories. Content Curation: - Summarize and organize stories for internal review. - Develop a deep understanding of our target audience to ensure the stories resonate - Maintain an organized database of news platforms, publications and accounts - Maintain an organized database of sourced stories Collaboration: - Work closely with the content team to develop compelling narratives and story angles. - Coordinate with the social media team to share stories and engage audiences. Qualifications: - Research Skills: Proven ability to conduct in-depth research using a variety of sources (news outlets, social media, blogs, etc.). - Fact-Checking: Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. - Writing Skills: Ability to summarize complex stories concisely and effectively. - Passion: A genuine interest in stories of heroism, resilience, and community building. - Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to write content scripts will be a huge plus - Journalism or communications background. - Experience with content management systems (CMS). - Familiarity with social media platforms and trends. - Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
