Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to help us scale and optimize our infrastructure. This is a key role in our migration journey as we transition all of our applications to a new infrastructure within GCP. You’ll collaborate closely with our development teams, empowering them to take ownership of their applications from development through to production. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, have strong problem-solving skills, and be motivated by the opportunity to make an impact. Responsibilities: Lead and guide initiatives on GCP, with a primary focus on utilizing and optimizing managed services. Implement optimizations for Postgres and CloudSQL databases to ensure peak performance and scalability. Support development teams in CI/CD pipeline work, ensuring efficient and secure deployment processes. Stay current with the latest DevSecOps technologies and tools, driving continuous improvement. Embrace a cloud-first, “everything as code,” and open-source approach to infrastructure and operations. Required Qualifications: Proven expertise in GCP, including a deep understanding of managed services within the platform. Experience working with sensitive data, particularly in compliance-heavy environments (e.g., PCI-DSS). Demonstrated experience with version control systems such as GitHub, and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD. Knowledge of Helm charting and CI pipelines for Java is a plus. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders. Ability to lead and support cross-functional initiatives and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset when facing challenges. Ability to thrive in a remote-first company, working in multiple time zones with a distributed team.
