Job Title: ECEAP Lead Teacher/Educator - Remote | WFH Job Overview As an Early ECEAP Lead Teacher, you will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for infants and toddlers. You will engage in various activities that support their holistic development while closely collaborating with the assistant teacher and the site team to empower parents as pivotal contributors to their children’s growth and learning. Key Responsibilities • Cultivate a culture of respect, support, and creativity among team members. • Offer leadership and mentorship to assistant teachers, fostering their professional development. • Collaborate with site staff to enhance recruitment efforts aimed at achieving optimal enrollment. • Design and execute a daily schedule that meets the diverse needs of young children. • Create lesson plans that adhere to ECEAP performance standards, implementing a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum. • Engage positively with children to nurture their unique learning experiences and emotional well-being. • Organize and prepare classroom materials in conjunction with the assistant teacher, aligning with the planned curriculum. • Maintain open and respectful communication with families, supporting them in their educational journey. • Plan and facilitate family events with the site team, ensuring inclusivity through the use of interpreters when necessary. • Conduct annual educational planning meetings with each child’s family to foster collaboration. • Document individual children’s progress through ongoing observations and develop personalized learning plans within 90 days of enrollment. • Implement standardized screening tools for children within 90 days of enrollment, referring for further evaluation as required. • Assist in meal planning and engage with children during mealtime to provide support and companionship. • Teach and supervise health habits and provide first aid when necessary, ensuring safe environments indoors and outdoors. • Supervise and assist preschool teaching assistants, while also participating in the recruitment and training of family and community volunteers for classroom activities. • Engage in interdisciplinary planning for children and families through staff meetings and individual education plans. • Participate in in-service training and educational opportunities to enhance professional skills throughout the year. • Ensure smooth transitions for children and families to after-school programs in collaboration with the assistant teacher and site team. • Stay updated on ongoing program changes and adhere to organizational policies and procedures. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Skills • Ability to work effectively as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team. • In-depth knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for preschool-aged children. • Strong communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds. • Flexibility to adapt to varied situations and instructional methods. • Competence in basic clerical tasks, including recordkeeping and filing. • Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. Qualifications • Completion of 12 college quarter credits; OR a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential from the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition, with relevant training in early childhood development focusing on infants and toddlers. • First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of hiring. • Food and Beverage Handler's Permit within 30 days of hiring. • Completion of a one-step Mantoux tuberculosis (TB) test, unless written proof of a negative test is provided within the past 12 months. Compensation And Benefits The salary for this role ranges from (21.44 to )27.18 per hour, based on experience.
