Job title: School-Wide Title I Paraprofessional Company: Battle Creek Public Schools Job description : High school diploma WITH successful passage of the ETS Parapro Assessment* (min 460 score) Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), preferred but not required Parental experience desired but not required Ability to work well with children and adults Maintain am interest in helping children in their educational process Calm and patient demeanor SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide daily individual and/or small group pupil instruction/tutoring Provide academic support to the classroom teacher(s) Provide supervisory/classroom management support to the classroom teacher(s), where applicable Assist in escorting children to and from various rooms, when necessary Assess students, as directed by the teacher and/or administrator Monitor and track student data, where applicable Provide instructional support in the library Demonstrate initiative and creativity with student(s) Adhere to district health and safety procedures Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the building principal APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Must complete an online application accompanied by a resume and evidence to show minimum qualification requirements have been met (i.e. copy of transcripts, diplomas, certificates, etc.); paper copies will not be accepted.
