Job Description: PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all aspects of the Esports program, demonstrating effective communication and planning, strong organizational and administrative skills, and sound decision-making. Responsible for the recruitment and retention of Esports team members. Organize, plan and conduct practices, games, tournaments and hold individual skill instructions session. Work directly with leagues as a liaison for the University. Coordinate with the athletic communications office to provide accurate data for game scores as well as individual and team accomplishments. Participate in the development of the whole student-- regarding individual well-being and life skills. Help monitor and ensure the academic progress of team members. Represent the program with the highest level of professionalism, sportsmanship and integrity. Foster and maintain a culture that demonstrates a commitment to compliance with all league, conference, and institutional rules and regulations. Foster and maintain a culture that demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as well as trust and mutual respect. Provide ongoing input on design of esports facility and selection of equipment, as well as preventive maintenance of inventory. Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director for Club Sports and Recreation Requirements: Nights and weekends will be required.
