At Lowe's, the position of the Construction Supplies Sales Representative is pivotal as it shapes the customers' impression of the company. This associate's responsibilities are selecting appropriate products for customers, verifying correct pricing tags, generating accurate quotes, and fulfilling all customers' needs in every way. The associate must communicate with the customers adequately, listen to them attentively, and use their expertise to assist the customers. Additionally, taking care of the safety of the store's entrance is an essential part of the position. As a Construction Supplies Sales Representative, individuals must be able to convey information in a clear and concise manner. They must be knowledgeable about the goods or services they are promoting and communicate effectively with clients, never pressuring them to make a purchase. Travel Requirements: The position does not mandate constant travel, but the individual may have to hit the road occasionally to attend meetings, get trained or offer support to neighboring stores. Another important characteristic we're looking for is creativity. We want individuals who can think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to problems. This involves a willingness to take risks and try different approaches, even if they aren't guaranteed to work: • Hourly Full Time and Hourly Part Time are the two classifications for this position, with established schedules of 39 to 40 hours or up to 25 hours per week, respectively. The store might require additional hours. • Candidates must be flexible with their schedules and able to work any day of the week with morning, afternoon, and evening availability. • Possession of the necessary physical competence to perform job functions that entail long-term sitting, standing, and other related tasks. • Being able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds without help is a prerequisite for CSAs working in the Greeter department of certain stores. Additionally, they can lift over 10 pounds either with or without assistance. • The role of a CSA in every department, apart from that of Greeter, entails the need for physical strength, where the candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds of weight unaided, with the option of lifting more than 25 pounds with or without support. Success can be attained by having certain prerequisites that are essential in nature: Minimum Qualifications: • A duration of six months utilizing a computer system, which includes tasks like entering, gaining access to, transforming, and producing information. • As a result of working in a retail setting for 6 months, my proficiency with ubiquitous technological tools such as smartphones and tablets increased significantly. • Obtaining sales-related licensure or registration is necessary to comply with certain laws. Preferred Qualifications: • My proficiency in sales has grown markedly over 6 months, as I have honed my abilities to recognize and fulfill customer needs. This includes expertly selling diverse products like credit cards, installations, and add-ons, all while outlining the benefits of product features and warranties. • With six months' worth of retail experience under my belt, I possess the expertise to provide exceptional customer service. In particular, I am adept at addressing and resolving customer concerns, directing customers towards their desired products, warmly greeting customers upon their arrival, answering telephone inquiries, cultivating strong customer connections, and showing gratefulness for their business. • The ability to speak multiple languages could be beneficial for the store if it serves a diverse community. • The certification process for trades like building materials or kitchen supplies can involve both theoretical and practical training to ensure a comprehensive understanding.
