About the position The Seasonal Back-Half Days Yard Coordinator at Target is responsible for managing daily trailer movements within the Distribution Center Yards, ensuring safety and compliance while fostering effective communication with DC executives. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring timely deliveries to stores. Responsibilities  Execute daily trailer movement within Target's Distribution Center Yards. ,  Foster a 'safety first' culture through awareness, training, and accountability. ,  Work with carriers to ensure compliance with safety expectations. ,  Operate Target-owned vehicles for yard audit routines. ,  Update the yard management system to reflect the current status of all trailers. ,  Communicate effectively with DC executives regarding trailer needs and progress. ,  Monitor trailer releases to ensure timely deliveries to stores. ,  Conduct trailer inventories and ensure equipment is available for preventive maintenance checks. ,  Collaborate with First Mile Transportation to monitor trailer pools and freight flow. Requirements  High School degree or equivalent. ,  Possess or ability to obtain a valid driver's license. ,  Must be at least 18 years of age or older. ,  Demonstrated ability to multi-task. ,  Experience working in a high volume, high activity environment. ,  Strong oral and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves  Direct experience within a distribution center truck yard or traffic management preferred.
