Job Overview Join VIQ Solutions, a pioneering leader in transcription services for legal and judicial agencies, as we adapt to a technology-centric workflow. We are in search of experienced Legal/Judicial contract professionals with a strong background in transcribing depositions and hearings. This role offers a fully remote opportunity for Independent Contractors. Key Responsibilities  Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.  Process audio recordings while adhering closely to established style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.  Ensure the highest standards of attention to detail and accuracy. Required Skills  Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.  Exceptional listening skills and adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.  Strong literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.  Proficient typing skills with a focus on both speed and accuracy.  Ability to handle challenging audio/text content.  Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.  Ability to effectively collaborate in a remote environment.  Capability to pass a background check. Qualifications  Significant experience in legal transcription or a related field is required.  Court reporting students are welcome to apply.  Note: This opportunity is not available to residents of Massachusetts or California.
