Overview Not a position for paralegals or attorneys. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic law office. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to attorneys and non attorney advocates in special education legal matters. This role requires strong organizational skills, strong communication skills, empathy, the ability to manage multiple tasks... simultaneously, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all legal documents and communications. Duties - Assist attorneys with legal research and document preparation. - Review and transcribe legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. - Manage case files using Clio software for efficient document organization. - Draft contracts and other legal documents as required. - Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling meetings and managing calendars. - Conduct thorough document reviews to identify relevant information for cases. - Maintain communication with clients, providing updates on case status as needed. - Support the team in various tasks related to Patent law and Securities law. Experience - Previous experience in a law office setting is preferred. - Familiarity with Clio or similar document management systems is a plus. - Strong skills in legal research and writing are essential. - Experience with contract drafting and review will be beneficial. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
