About the position The position involves coordinating the documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers. The role emphasizes impeccable customer service, accurate classification of goods, and compliance with international importing regulations. It requires data entry and processing of various import-related documentation, while maintaining shipment documentation in accordance with record-keeping requirements. Responsibilities • Coordinate documentation for US Customs and Government Agencies for goods entry. , • Provide excellent customer service to importers. , • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release. , • Perform data entry and processing of import-related documentation. , • Maintain current shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements. , • Adhere to international importing regulations. , • Work closely with internal staff and departments to ensure high service levels. , • Process agency brokerage shipments. , • Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies. , • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED required. , • Data entry/keyboard experience required. , • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook. , • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. , • Strong organizational skills. , • Interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of staff. , • Ability to handle a high volume of work and time-sensitive tasks. , • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. , • Capability to use multiple systems and reference materials.
