Alumni Media YouTube Shorts Strategist: Starting January 1st, 2024, through May 15th, 2024. (Because all our shows will run 365/7, anyone who wishes to stay involved through the entire year is welcome... Seeking Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students Media Overview: Alumni Media is a dynamic and innovative streaming network, with dozens of channels offering a diverse range of high-quality content to our audience. We are not a Football Network, rather a Lifestyle Network created, shaped, and hosted by alumni players. We are delivering engaging programming that can be delivered in each channel 24/7. The content is both original and curated, live, and recorded, short and long form, but always with an Alumni hook. We are currently seeking talented interns who will work virtually, to join our team. Position Overview: As a YouTube Shorts Strategist Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing team in executing social strategies and campaigns. This internship offers you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of digital marketing while contributing to our organization's online presence and brand awareness. You will work closely with our social media manager and directly with our Alumni, working together on social media marketing and content creation and distribution. Key Responsibilities: 1. YouTube Shorts Strategist: • Create and publish YouTube Shorts videos to promote long-form content. • Use YouTube Shorts as a Call-To-Action (CTA) to drive viewers to the full-length videos. • Develop engaging short-form content that captivates the audience and encourages interaction. • Coordinate with the content team to align shorts with the release of long-form videos. 2. Social Media Management: • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on YouTube engaging with our audience in a friendly and professional manner. • Keep track of social media metrics and assist in analyzing performance data to identify trends and insights that can be used to improve future campaigns. 3. Community Management: • Help build and nurture our online community by fostering meaningful interactions with followers, influencers, and potential customers. • Identify and engage with relevant social media users and influencers to expand our brand's reach and visibility. 4. Content Calendar and Planning: • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a social media content calendar, ensuring a consistent posting schedule and timely content delivery. • Schedule and publish posts on social media platforms using appropriate scheduling tools. • Stay up to date with industry trends and social media best practices to suggest innovative ideas and strategies. 5. Research and Analysis: • Conduct market research to identify how to maximize the Athlete’s social presence and brand, as well as social media trends and new opportunities for our brand's growth. Requirements: • Familiarity with major social media platforms and an active personal presence on these platforms. • Basic understanding of social media management tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics). • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to grammar and spelling. • Creativity and ability to think outside the box for content ideation. • Enthusiastic, proactive, and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. • Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. • Knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) is a plus but not required. • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors of master’s program in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field Application Instructions: To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter to Alumni Media Social Media Manager Giovanna Scroggins at [email protected].
