Payroll Specialist The Virtual Business Office is currently seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounting Specialist for a large hospital client in the Midwest. This is a contract role that would be primarily remote, but some occasional travel may be necessary. This position supports one of the Big Four Accounting Firms and offers opportunity to join a winning and energetic team! Key Qualifications:

• Must be comfortable running payroll in oracle cloud for a large complex organization.
• Experience with processing payroll in a healthcare provider or healthcare system is preferred.
• Experience with UKG/Kronos timekeeping systems are preferred.
• Must have an understanding with internal controls, regulations, and laws related to payroll.
• Familiarity administering multiple complex pay practices/plans, including shift differentials and overtime is preferred.
• Must work well independently but also possess a team player attitude with the ability to work effectively as a team to execute processes, resolve issues, and maintain communication.

Job Requirements and Preferences:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred
• Experience utilizing oracle cloud and UKG/Kronos
• Previous experience in a payroll capacity within a healthcare setting
• Proven ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Computer and internet literate in an MS Office environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
