About the position The Lead Data Analytics position within Verizon's Business Strategy team is a pivotal role that involves serving as an internal consultant to business unit and functional group leadership. The role focuses on defining and articulating business strategies, designing and executing growth opportunities, and providing analytical support across various departments. The position emphasizes collaboration, customer centricity, and innovation to drive positive change and support executive decision-making through data-driven analysis and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an internal consultant/advisor to business unit and functional group leadership.

• Support strategy managers in developing strategic recommendations through data sourcing and analytical modeling.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on cross-functional growth initiatives requiring analytical expertise.

• Craft and deliver actionable recommendations through data-driven analysis and visualization.

• Lead analysis and solution development for key business challenges to drive growth and value opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

,

• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

,

• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL) and/or tools (Tableau, Alteryx, PowerPivot).

Nice-to-haves

• MBA or advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Analytics.

• Two or more years of experience in a strategy or quantitative/technical role for a tier 1 management consulting firm.

• Experience with business problem definition, insight synthesis, and executive communication.

• Strong understanding of advanced statistical methods and experience in data analytics platforms and visualization software tools.
