Allen HallPay Grade: ProfessionalJob Description:Provides academic guidance to current and prospective students enrolled in University College pursuing LSU Online programs as a means to support their admission into an LSU senior college, success at LSU, and to help define their academic goals.Job Responsibilities85% Provides educational guidance and assistance for LSU Online students by planning schedules, recommending courses, and determining appropriate education solutions for students.Follows through and tracks the advancement of Online students as they strive to accomplish their academic goals. Additionally, provides case management to students who do not meet their educational requirements and offers guidance toward other LSU Online academic programs if applicable.Utilizes various electronic and print-based materials, as well as multiple university databases to interpret LSU Online degree programs. Serves as the conduit for students in interpreting and enforcing university policies and procedures that students encounter in University College and other LSU entities. Manages and serves a caseload of approximately 300 students (continuing, re-entry students, and transfer) who are enrolled in LSU Online programs in University College.Records counseling notes in a variety of formats for reference and for referrals to appropriate campus departments and agencies. Guides students through a variety of academic appeals processes and presents these appeals to the administration on behalf of the students.10% Collaborates with LSU Online staff and Senior Colleges staff to stay informed of LSU Online start dates, deadlines, and enrollment goals. Other responsibilities may be assigned in support of admissions processes and meeting enrollment management goals.5% Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.Minimum Qualifications:Education Level: Bachelor’s DegreeLSU values skills, experience, and expertise.
