We're looking for a highly proactive and visionary AI-Enhanced Design Lead to join our team. Roles and responsibilities

• Lead the strategic integration and application of AI tools to accelerate and enhance our design process for traditional digital products, services, and strategic initiatives.
• Drive design innovation by continually exploring and advocating for new AI-powered methodologies to push the boundaries of what's possible.
• Apply critical and strategic thinking to identify AI opportunities that solve complex design challenges and deliver superior user value across various design domains.
• Champion user-centered solutions, translating complex needs into intuitive digital experiences while ensuring human-centricity is paramount, even with AI assistance.
• Oversee rapid prototyping and iteration, leveraging AI tools to generate and test high-fidelity, functional, code-based prototypes.
• Conduct advanced user research and testing to validate AI-enhanced designs and ensure they meet real-world user needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams, effectively communicating design vision and rationale.
• Contribute to the evolution of our design system and overall design maturity by identifying how AI can streamline processes and empower the team.
• Act as a thought leader, sharing insights on AI in design and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the company.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design (e.g., HCI, Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design), Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Service Design, or Strategic Design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful work.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for effective collaboration with international clients and teams.

Design Expertise & Strategy

• Deep expertise in UI/UX principles, interaction, and visual design.
• Proficiency in information architecture and evolving design systems.
• Ability to apply critical and strategic thinking to complex design challenges.

AI & Design Innovation

• Strong understanding and practical application of AI tools in design (e.g., Figma Make, generative AI).
• Expertise in prompt engineering for precise and innovative design outcomes.
• Proactive mindset to explore and advocate for new AI-powered methodologies.

User Research & Validation

• Advanced skills in planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research.
• Proficiency in comprehensive usability testing and validation methods.
• Unwavering commitment to ensuring human-centricity in all AI-enhanced designs.

Prototyping & Technical Fluency

• Mastery of modern prototyping tools for high-fidelity, interactive, code-based prototypes.
• Familiarity with foundational web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript concepts).
• Ability to read, understand, and make minor edits to front-end code for prototype refinement.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Outstanding communication skills to articulate complex design and AI concepts.
• Natural collaborative leadership, fostering teamwork and providing mentorship.
• Self-driven and curious, always seeking to challenge norms and raise the bar.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience leading design initiatives that have shipped successful digital products or services.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process, critical thinking, and examples of how you've integrated or experimented with AI in your work, particularly with functional, code-based prototypes.
• Demonstrable interest and a forward-thinking perspective on the role of AI in shaping the future of design and product development.
• Comfort working with front-end development teams and understanding technical feasibility, bridging the gap between design vision and technical implementation, even at a basic code level.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment and adapt to evolving technologies and project requirements.
• Based in Latin America, with a strong preference for candidates located in Guatemala.
