Flight Attendant

Description As a Republic Airways Flight Attendant, you will perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with constant attention to guests, ensuring a safe and comfortable onboard experience. You will maintain thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and equipment, operate emergency exits, and handle aircraft equipment requiring force up to 70 pounds. Your responsibilities include providing food and beverages to passengers, pushing and pulling carts over 250 pounds, assisting passengers with carry-on baggage up to 35 pounds, and maintaining a neat and orderly cabin environment. You will contribute to on-time operations by coordinating with crewmembers, perform inflight sales and promotional duties, assist customer service staff as needed, and maintain reliable attendance in accordance with company policies. A professional image must be upheld at all times, adhering to the company’s uniform dress code and conduct standards. Requirements

The successful candidate must be at least 20 years old by the first interview date and possess a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of two years of customer service experience. Additional customer service experience, particularly in aviation, and previous flight attendant experience are preferred. Candidates must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations and effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the public. Fluency in English, including the ability to give shouted commands in emergencies, is required. Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a customer-oriented mindset are essential. Candidates must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages and handle food items such as peanuts, shellfish, and beef, as well as work with animals and allergens. Republic’s dress code prohibits tattoos on the head, face, neck, chest, hands, and fingers, while visible tattoos on the arms, wrists, legs, ankles, and feet must be within the approved size limit or covered appropriately. A wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater is required to operate aircraft equipment safely. Candidates must fit securely in the flight attendant jump seat without modification, with a lap belt measurement of 50 inches and a shoulder harness measurement of 40 inches when fastened. Multiple visible piercings are not allowed while in uniform. The role demands the ability to work under time constraints, manage stress, and handle unexpected changes effectively. Candidates must be capable of interpreting multiple forms of instructions and remain calm while responding quickly to emergencies, including medical incidents, decompression, evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence. Physical Demands: The physical demands for this role require candidates to have the strength to operate all emergency equipment and exits using necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds. They must be capable of lifting objects above shoulder level up to 35 pounds and pushing or pulling moveable carts weighing over 250 pounds. The role involves walking and standing for extended periods, sometimes in turbulent conditions. Candidates must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel as needed. Clear vision at a distance of 20 feet or more, with corrective lenses or contacts if necessary, is required, along with the ability to hear verbal communications over airplane systems despite ambient noise. They must fit securely in the assigned jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications and be able to move freely and quickly in a confined environment.
