Defense Litigation Attorney - 100% REMOTE - $150k-$175k + Bonus - AUSTIN (El Paso)
Very prominent Dallas based Defense Litigation Law Firm is seeking a Defense Litigation Attorney for the Austin area, for an immediate need. This position will be 100% remote - but the candidate must live in the Austin area for to be able to be present for court, depositions, etc. Highlights:
- Salary - $150,000 - $175,000 + Bonus/Profit sharing
- 100% remote - MUST LIVE IN AUSTIN AREA
- 5+ years of experience
- Licensed to practice and in good standing in the State of Texas
We are seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience in business litigation, insurance defense or medical malpractice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters while collaborating with a dynamic and experienced legal team. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation, business litigation or medical malpractice, including case strategy, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Provide legal counsel to insurers, businesses, and professionals in personal injury, professional liability, and construction-related claims.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs, related to personal injury, professional liability, and construction disputes.
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and courtroom proceedings while effectively managing a caseload.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in the Texas bar
- Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in business litigation, insurance defense or medical malpractice
- Some litigation knowledge, legal research, and drafting skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and case management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
