Full Stack Website Developer (Front End Focus)
About the position
Flexjet, a leading provider of fractional private jet ownership and leasing, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join the Global Marketing Department as the Full Stack Website Developer. This role is not just about writing code; it is about bringing Flexjet's sophisticated brand ethos to life digitally. The ideal candidate will possess a broad and versatile coding skill set, capable of developing functional and appealing web and mobile-based applications. They will be responsible for taking prototypes and ideas developed by Studio One, the internal creative services team, and efficiently building those ideas into reality. This position will require collaboration with the digital team's Front-End developer, the IT department, and sister brands within the Directional Aviation family of companies. Flexjet offers an array of private jets, featuring some of the most modern options in the fractional jet industry. The clientele includes corporations and ultra-high net worth individuals. A key differentiator for Flexjet is the Red Label service, which provides flight crews dedicated to a single aircraft and offers over 40 different interior designs under the LXi Cabin Collection of interiors. The Full Stack Website Developer will play a crucial role in enhancing the digital presence of Flexjet, ensuring that the website experience aligns with the high standards of the brand. The developer will work closely with graphic design, product marketers, developers, and other internal stakeholders to scope, create wireframes, prototypes, and development requirements for website experiences and frameworks. They will develop, implement, and test both front-end and back-end web code, performing quality assurance to ensure compliance and functionality. The role demands the ability to write code in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing best practices to develop high-quality software that meets project requirements, budget, and schedule. Additionally, the developer will manage ongoing website security to prevent breaches and implement fixes for any vulnerabilities found.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with graphic design, product marketers, developers, and other internal stakeholders to scope, create wireframes, prototypes, and development requirements for website experiences and framework. ,
- Develop, implement, and test front-end and back-end web code. ,
- Perform quality assurance to ensure web experiences operate according to scope and compliance. ,
- Write code in a high-paced environment with an emphasis on using best practices to develop high-quality software that meets project requirements, budget, and schedule. ,
- Manage ongoing website security to prevent breaches and implement ongoing fixes within found vulnerabilities. ,
- Build and implement custom APIs, ETL Pipelines, and databases. ,
- Create customized code to ensure the website and its sister platforms function as one environment. ,
- Create and optimize web project management, hitting all deadlines and improving efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality web development. ,
- Proactively scope and present new abstract ideas to improve website experience for prospects, leads, and customers. ,
- Write code and implement graphics, effects, animations, functions, and features to the website as supplied by the marketing department.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related discipline preferred, or an Associate's Degree in Marketing or relevant field. ,
- 5+ years' experience with multiple front-end languages and libraries including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, React, Angular, Next JS. ,
- 5+ years' experience with multiple back-end languages including PHP, Node.js, Python, Java. ,
- Familiarity with databases and frameworks including CDP, CRM, BI, ADO, AWS, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, GITHUB, Bash Shell Scripting. ,
- Experience in WordPress and WPE Servers required, while comfort with headless CMS platforms such as Prismic preferred. ,
- Domain expertise in UI/UX best practices. ,
- Problem-solving skills with an understanding that development is to improve site experience and drive action. ,
- Experience developing for responsive cross-device platforms. ,
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, demonstrate flexibility, display a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and sense of urgency. ,
- Passion for marketing and ability to incorporate B2B/B2C digital marketing best practices and marketing technology expertise into development projects. ,
