What You’ll Be Doing As Saela’s Founding Chief Technology Officer, you will lead the development of our platform, ensuring it delivers on our mission while scaling for future growth. You’ll be responsible for turning our vision into reality by creating technology that empowers users, enhances transparency, and integrates with healthcare systems. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a leader who can balance long-term innovation with immediate execution.

Specifically, you will:

Develop the Platform: Oversee the creation of a robust app that addresses various consumer needs

Drive Sustainability: Implement systems to ensure transparent and equitable sourcing, leveraging blockchain technology.

Build the Tech Team: Recruit and lead a team of developers and engineers to support platform scalability and innovation.

Ensure Interoperability: Partner with healthcare providers to integrate systems for Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement and compliance.

Iterate and Innovate: Continuously refine the platform based on user feedback, ensuring accessibility, security, and usability.

Seamless Platform Delivery: Launch a robust, user-friendly Saela platform with high functionality and minimal errors.

Blockchain Implementation: Successfully implement blockchain technology, creating a scalable model for sustainability.

User Engagement: Achieve high user engagement and satisfaction rates, with clear feedback reflecting intuitive app design and impactful features.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a collaborative, high-performing tech team that meets development milestones on time and within budget.

Healthcare Integration: Establish seamless integration with Medicaid/Medicare systems, enabling reimbursements and compliance with regulatory standards.

Sustainability Innovation: Implement tools to support equitable food sourcing, reduce food waste, and support a circular economy, reflecting Saela's commitment to sustainability.

Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and address technological challenges with innovative solutions to continuously improve platform performance and user experience.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, blockchain advancements, and app development best practices to ensure Saela remains at the forefront of tech-enabled wellness solutions. Adaptability to Growth: Develop scalable infrastructure that can handle increased demand and additional features as Saela grows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with other departments, ensuring alignment between technology and business goals.

What We Expect From You

Experience: 6+ years in tech senior roles, ideally with experience in startups or mission-driven organizations.

Technical Expertise: Proficient in building scalable platforms, with knowledge of blockchain technology, app development (e.g., React, Flutter), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).

Strategic Vision: Proven ability to align technical roadmaps with business goals.

Leadership: A track record of building and leading high-performing tech teams.

Problem-Solving: A knack for solving complex challenges with innovative and practical solutions.
