Senior IT Developer
About the position
The Senior IT Developer at Delta Air Lines is responsible for developing new functionalities, web services, microservices, and API integrations within an existing framework. This role emphasizes designing and developing cloud-native applications while ensuring high performance and supportability. The developer will work within Agile teams, collaborating with Solution Architects and business areas to produce quality software that meets business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop new functionality, web services, microservices, and API integration into an existing framework. ,
- Provide support and troubleshoot computer systems, optimizing performance and resolving problems. ,
- Design and develop cloud-native applications, features, and enhancements with an emphasis on clean, efficient, and well-documented code. ,
- Contribute to Agile development teams following the 12 Factor application development principles and secure coding practices. ,
- Collaborate with Solution Architect teams and Delta business areas to analyze technical information and produce quality software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of experience in IT related field, or a Master's degree in the same fields with 2 years of experience. ,
- Experience in conducting REST API development using Core Java. ,
- Experience using Microservices Architecture including Spring Boot. ,
- Experience working on Cloud Native applications using Jenkins. ,
- Experience conducting test-driven development using Cucumber. ,
- Experience using Agile methodologies including SCRUM.
