Please contact Human Resources at 770-533-6903 or if any assistance/accommodation is needed in the application/interview process.POSITION: WELDING AND JOINING TECHNOLOGY ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR, Empower College & Career Academy, Jackson CountyREPORTS TO: Dean of Applied Technology and TransportationSALARY RANGE: Dependent on education and experienceEFFECTIVE: August, 2025RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision, develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives; Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited Welding & Joining Technology courses; Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives; Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares required budget requests; Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate; Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports; Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area; Meets with students, staff members to review progress of the students;MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Technical diploma in Welding and Joining Technology from a regionally accredited college or university; three (3) years’ work experience in a position related to welding and joining technology. Must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned.TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:· Ability to teach one or more courses under the Welding & Joining Technology curriculum.
