Reporting to the Managing Director, Advertising, you’ll play a key role in shaping our go-to-market strategy, growing revenue, and building lasting partnerships throughout the region.If you’re the kind of strategic sales professional who wants more than a book of business - if you’re looking to build, lead, and influence - this is that kind of role.What you’ll do
- Own and grow the direct ad sales business across North America and Latin America, with a focus on premium travel, tourism, and endemic brands.
- Build and manage a pipeline of high-value advertisers - from DMOs and hotel brands to rail operators, airlines, and media agencies.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Ad Ops, and Data to bring creative campaigns to life.
- Represent Rome2Rio at key industry events across your regions.
- Share market and client insights that help shape our strategy and ad product.
- Collaborate closely with our Sales Manager for EMEA and APAC to build a global, high-performing sales approach.
- Be part of a ‘no-ego’ smart and driven team where your voice and ideas truly matter.
- 6–10 years of experience in digital advertising or media sales, ideally in the travel and tourism space.
- A strong commercial instinct and proven track record of closing high-impact deals.
- Confidence navigating client conversations, building relationships, and managing a dynamic pipeline.
- A builder mindset - you’re excited by possibility and comfortable creating structure where it doesn’t yet exist.
- A collaborative, thoughtful communicator who thrives in fast-moving, cross-functional environments.
- Hands-on experience selling into North America and Latin America markets, with an understanding of regional dynamics and decision-makers.
- Knowledge of programmatic, native, and performance-based media.
- Fluency in other languages besides English.
