Job description: Job Title: Network AdministratorLocation: RemoteWe are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network equipment, firewalls, and security appliances.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform regular network maintenance, including updates, patches, and hardware replacements.
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages, and escalate as needed.
- Manage IP address schemas, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Implement and enforce network security measures in accordance with policies and best practices.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, topologies, and processes.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution related to network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and vendors to optimize infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience in network administration or IT infrastructure roles.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, HP, etc.) and tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.).
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network access control.
- Experience in Windows and Linux server environments.
- Network certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
