It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSScheduled Weekly Hours: 40WORK SHIFT: Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for all aspects of hospital and professional billing activities. Maintains knowledge of all rules and regulations concerning industry billing procedures. Communicates and interacts with insurance companies, physicians, patients, and staff to provide effective customer service in response to inquiries related to billing issues.POSITION: Remote/Hybrid opportunity availableEducation, Experience and Training Qualifications

• Required – High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred – Medical Billing/Coding course completion with certification OR 1 year experience in filing professional and/or facility claims
• Knowledge of one or more billing systems and patient accounting systems; EPIC is preferred
• Knowledge of all insurance types (governmental and non-governmental) is preferred; Medicare billing experience is a plus
• Understanding of basic medical terminology

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: Medical Billing/Coding certification preferredJob Duties

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work effectively with other employees and external parties
• Use Microsoft Office in performance of duties and responsibilities
• Resolves billing inquiries utilizing a variety of tools, including but not limited to billing operation systems, payer websites, reports
• Provide feedback to adjust and enhance billing processes and efficiencies
• Meets billing deadlines and productivity measures while maintaining accuracy and quality
• Other related duties as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.
