No matter where power comes from or where it goes, we make sure it makes its way at every step.Find out how is .Join our team, get inspired, and help us re-imagine the world!We are looking for a Portfolio Consulting Manager to lead a new Power Technologies International (PTI) team developing and providing leading-edge technical consulting services to Utilities, Regional Transmission Organizations, and energy asset owners.This is a remote position located in the contiguous U.S.You will make an impact as you work on:
- Expanding Siemens PTI’s consulting business in power grid analysis and design, system dynamics and transients, system interconnection, and grid code compliance.
- Maintaining relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for further business.
- Leading proposal development in response to requests for proposal or other client inquiries.
- Managing project execution, tracking project progress, and making necessary adjustments to maintain scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Leading, managing, and developing a team of consultants with various levels of experience. Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback and mentoring, and help them develop their skills and career paths.
- Collaborating with other Siemens Industry Business Units for a more comprehensive customer engagement.
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power and Energy Systems.
- Proven experience performing power systems analysis for electric utilities, ISOs, RTOs, and/or developers.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Working knowledge of grid simulation software such as PSS®E, TSAT™, TARA, PSLF™, PowerWorld, PSCAD™, etc.
- Good knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards with understanding of RTO and other regional planning criteria, procedures, and practices.
- Strong communication, presentation, and listening skills with demonstrated ability to write effective technical reports.
- Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally.
- At least 10 years of experience related to power systems analysis as described above.
- At least 2 years of proven experience managing or developing teams
- Prior consulting experience.
- Experience working in the MISO and/or SPP regions.

- The salary range for this position is $100,450 – 206,640. An annual incentive target also is part of the compensation package for this position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
