Customs Entry Writer

• Candidates with 1-3 years of entry writing experience and familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations, or candidates with 1+ years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry.
• Cargowise is a plus.

About the Position Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Prepares customs entries for all import shipments to be submitted to and released from U.S. Customs in a timely manner.
• Ensures that all entries are properly classified by using tools such as company profiles, CROSS (Customs Rulings Online Search System), Internet and communicating with the Importer of record.
• Creates invoices for duty and entry charges to be sent to the Billing Department.
• Develops and maintains customer profiles based on the customer’s shipment history.
• Coordinates with customers to classify new commodities per according to HTS.
• Answers any Brokerage related inquiries internally and externally.

Work ScheduleSt. Louis Office 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST (Rotational overtime on Sundays)Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with Microsoft Office.Education & Experience

• Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of entry writing experience.
• Customs Brokerage License and/or CCS Certification is a plus.
