Job title: Medical Coding Specialist/Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)/Certified Professional Coder (CPC)- Remote in VA in Norfolk, VA at Sentara Health Company: Sentara Health Job description: Sentara Health Plans is recruiting a Medical Coding Specialist/Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)/Certified Professional Coder (CPC)- Remote in VAStatus: Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours)Standard working hours: 5am to 6pm EST, M-F (flexible schedule based on preference)Location: This position can work remotely in VA.Job responsibilities:Comprehensive understanding of the entire billing cycle, medical terminology, coding, charge entry, insurance adjudication, contractual agreements, payment posting, statements and collections.Education:HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIREDCertification/Licensure:Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) OR Certified Professional Coder (CPC) REQUIREDExperience:3 years of multi-specialty coding experience with Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases version 10 (ICD-10), Heath Care Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and Modifier Coding preferred.Sentara Health Plans provides health plan coverage to close to one million members in Virginia.
