Amazon Fresh Stores Finance is well positioned to help the business drive growth, and unlock the full potential of the Amazon flywheel.As the Finance Manager for Amazon Fresh Stores Operations, you will own key forecasting and analytics for under the roof operations for the newly launched, mass-market omni-channel Fresh Stores grocery business. Partnering with the Operations team, you will provide strategic decision support and financial controllership necessary to drive profitable growth. You will play a central role in guiding the business on the financial implications of its growth and investment plans, while keeping executive leadership abreast of the business' performance. You make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure. - Oversee financial reporting for your business area. Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning. - Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe. - Drive accountability across the Amazon Finance Operations team leading weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews. - Create tools and processes that enable the Amazon Fresh Stores Operations leadership team to diagnose the business and achieve operational goals. - Contribute to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.About the team Amazon Fresh Stores Operations Finance is part of the Global Specialty Fulfillment (GSF) Operations team. GSF covers a portfolio of businesses with unique fulfillment and operational capabilities such as Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market Online, Amazon Heavy/Bulky, Same Day Operations, Locker+, and Treasure Truck. Our Finance teams partner closely with our operations teams to influence the strategic direction of the business, drive operations excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions, with the primary goal of continuously improving the customer experience while driving long-term profitability for our portfolio of businesses. Our teams experiment, fail fast, learn, and scale rapidly, and we have a culture of data-driven decision-making.Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment that's more start-up than big company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical in this role. The successful candidate has demonstrated that they are a self-starter, collaborate effectively and influence business partners, think long-term, and can support thoughtful decision-making in a rapidly-evolving and ambiguous environment.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) - 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
