Job description: The Dougherty County School System is seeking a School Administration Manager (SAM) to assist with school operations. The School Administration Manager (SAM) plays a vital role in ensuring efficient and effective operation of the school’s administrative and non-instructional functions. The SAM works closely with the principal to manage time, oversee operations, coordinate schedules, and enhance communication within the school community, enabling school leaders to focus more on instructional leadership and student outcomes.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Georgia PSC Certification at the T-5 level or higher;
- Five (5) years of effective teaching;
- Knowledge of state and federal education laws;
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
- Strong decision-making ability, proven performance, and resource management skills;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Assists and supports the teaching staff as directed by the principal;
- Assists the principal in maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, attends to emergencies per district, state and school guidelines, and enforcing school and district rules and regulations;
- Maintains high visibility for the purpose of maintaining an orderly environment and building positive relations with students and staff;
- Assists the Principal in responding to parent, teacher, student, and/or stakeholder concerns and complaints;
- Participates in meetings and trainings required to perform the functions of the position;
- Composes and presents a wide variety of materials including oral/written reports for the purpose of maintaining documentation of activities;
- Oversees community-based projects and monitors implementation;
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Principal.
- Vision, hearing and verbal communications are essential functions of this position;
- Must meet deadlines with severe time constraints;
- Occasionally the position requires the employee to work irregular or extended hours and meet multiple demands from several people.
