Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Financial Analyst (Level 4) to join us in the pursuit of top-tier financial performance.This position is located onsite in Redondo Beach or El Segundo, CA and will report to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting and will have the following responsibilities:Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting data and analysis in support of the company’s U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure requirementsAnalyze sector-level and program balance sheet and P&L, including, but not limited to: program sales and operating margin fluctuations, home office transactions, accounting for non-routine transactions, analysis of significant balance sheet accounts, and other ad hoc analytical requestsCoordinate with functional, program, and division personnel to drive process changes and resolve Sector wide issuesCoordinate with the finance and business management teams to develop strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting processDevelop presentations and work papers to support and inform Division and Sector leadershipPrepare non-routine journal entries in S4 HANA and HFMSupport Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentationLiaise with auditors by providing requested PBC items and thoroughly responding to questions in support of the auditSupport special projects on an ad hoc basisMentor and act as a resource to junior members of the teamBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Accounting, or related discipline with 8 years of accounting, audit, and/or business management experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of stated experiencePublic Accounting experience (each year of relevant Public Accounting experience counts for 2 years of experience above)Strong problem solving and analytical skillsCPA License/CPA Candidate in the near termPreferred Qualifications:A&D Industry experienceExperience with SAP/S4 HANA and/or HFMSEC reporting experienceExcellent knowledge of US GAAPActive DoD Secret clearance#LI-GB1Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
