Store Operations Associate

Location: The UPS Store, Elk Grove, CA (Must be willing to work across two locations: 8698 Elk Grove Blvd and 4900 Elk Grove Blvd) Job Type: Part-Time Job Description: The UPS Store in Elk Grove is seeking a motivated Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves delivering excellent customer service, supporting various store functions, and meeting specific certification requirements. You will need to be flexible and willing to work across two locations in Elk Grove (3.7 miles apart). Key Responsibilities: - Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to customers with their shipping, printing, notary needs, and more. - Sales Support: Promote and upsell store products and services. - Notary Services: Provide notary services as required. - LiveScan Services: Provide LiveScan services as required. -Administrative Tasks: Handle transactions, process payments, manage inventory, and ensure the store is clean and organized. - Equipment and Software Operation: Efficiently operate store equipment and software. Demonstrate expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud. - Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure efficient store operations and a positive customer experience. - Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed sales targets and performance goals set by store management. Requirements: - Experience: Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred. Experience in notary services, LiveScan services, and/or graphic design is a plus. - Certification: Ability to become a notary public and certified fingerprint (LiveScan) technician. All certifications are required within the first 90 days and will be paid for by the employer. Candidates must pass a background check to qualify. - Availability: Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week. Store hours for 8698 Elk Grove Blvd are Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 10am-3pm. Store hours for 4900 Elk Grove Blvd are Mon-Fri 8:30am-6:30pm, Sat 9am-5pm, and Sun 10am-3pm. - Flexibility: Must be willing to work at both store locations in Elk Grove (8698 Elk Grove Blvd and 4900 Elk Grove Blvd). - Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to work quickly and efficiently while operating equipment and software in an expert fashion. - Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud is necessary. Compensation: - Hourly Rate: Starting at $16.50 per hour. - Commissions: Additional earnings based on notary services provided. - Bonuses: Performance-based bonuses available based on store performance.
