About the position The Associate Director position at Verizon involves leading a team within the MILDEPS Government Program Management Office to support a large, complex network. This role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, managing project assignments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive solutions and performance improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of employees and contractors located in multiple states and across several disciplines
,
- Own responsibility for all aspects of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and serve as primary customer contact
,
- Collaborate with customer civilian and contractor administrative and technical staff
,
- Plan and distribute work assignments
,
- Set objectives and manage the performance to meet the objectives
,
- Drive customer solutions
,
- Manage vendor relationships
,
- Interface directly with Verizon senior leaders to address complex customer requests
,
- Perform risk assessments and develop strategic plans to mitigate risks
,
- Monitor support response in regards to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and conduct periodic performance review meetings
Requirements
- 10 years of professional experience or Bachelor Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (Masters preferred)
,
- 10 years of Telecom and/or IT Implementation Experience
,
- 5 years of relevant management/supervisory experience
,
- 5 years of relevant experience with Data Center and High-Speed Networking
,
- Significant experience following Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodologies
