CloudOps Engineer - Night Shift Remote
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly qualified CloudOps Engineer to support a stable and growing company based in Chantilly, VA on a primarily remote basis. This position is offered on a 12 am - 8 am (night shift) schedule. This job opens for applications on 4/11. Applications for this job will be accepted for at least 30 days from the posting date. Responsibilities of the CloudOps Engineer:
- Configuration as code for infrastructure, system configuration, and application deployments
- Design and deploy cloud solutions on AWS
- Automate operations and maintenance activities
- Review security scan reports and address findings
- Apply patches, upgrades, and application deployments
- Monitor application availability and aid in resolving operational issues
Qualifications of the CloudOps Engineer:
- 5+ years of experience with system administration of RPM-based Linux distributions (Amazon Linux, RHEL, CentOS, etc.)
- 3+ years of automation experience with AWS cloud services (VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFormation, etc)
- Experience with fully automated infrastructure, system, and application deployment with technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform
- Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant field
- Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
Compensation for the CloudOps Engineer:
- Salary: $105,000-120,000/year *flexible based on experience*
